Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree from an accredited college or university in a discipline closely related to subject to be taught or Masters level degree if teaching college-level courses
- Three years of coaching experience within specific discipline is preferred
- Non-expired teaching certification may be required for dual coaching/teaching roles
- Knowledge of and experience with relevant technology
- Solid biblical and theological foundation and understanding
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Seamlessly and deliberately integrate Biblical truth and Christian values into day-to-day instruction
- Establish and adjust objectives by following athletic department guidelines and school goals
- Maintain an active school program which meets student-athletes' needs, promotes student-athlete development, good sportsmanship, and Christian ideals
- Assist other coaches to make the athletic program function as an integral part of the overall school educational program
- Demonstrate behavior and provide Christian leadership that is professional, ethical, and responsible, and serves as a role model for all student-athletes, coaches, faculty, staff, opponents, and spectators
- Assist in the day-to-day operation of the athletic department programs
- Attend and monitor all practices and sporting events of assigned sport
- Supervise student-athletes prior to, during, and after all sanctioned sports events and practices to ensure student safety
- Maintain inventory of all equipment and supplies
- Communicate to the student-athletes and parents/guardians the expectations involving the sport, including but not limited to: practice schedule and games, academic performance, respect, commitment, dedication, sportsmanship, and Christian character
- Demonstrate fairness and consistency in all decisions and judgements related to the student-athlete's participation and involvement in athletics
- Assist in the transportation of student athletes to and from sporting events
- Maintain records by documenting learning accomplishments, attendance, and behavior
- Engage in ongoing communication and collaboration with Brook Hill team members in order to strengthen student performance and support
- Participate in the broader ministry of Brook Hill by contributing time, talent and treasure beyond assigned role and responsibilities
- Continue professional and technical growth by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional organizations
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations
- Occasional evening or weekend work may be required as it relates to the duties described
- Other duties as assigned by the Head of School or a designee of the Head of School

Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit at a desk and work on a computer for extended periods of time.

- Must exercise mobility to promptly move around campus.
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents.
- Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to be outdoors for extended periods of time year-round.
- Must be able to travel locally, including field trips and off campus activities, as well as nationally as needed.
