Your key responsibilities will include: Client-Focused Advocacy: • Conduct consultations to develop tailored bankruptcy strategies. • Guide clients through Chapters 7 and 13 cases, delivering clarity and • confidence every step of the way. • Represent clients in court with poise and professionalism. Strategic Case Management: • Oversee all aspects of bankruptcy filings, creditor communications, and case progress. • Collaborate with legal assistants and paralegals, ensuring the highest standards of quality and timeliness. Professional Network Building: • Cultivate and nurture referral relationships with financial advisors, CPAs, and other professionals. This position requires seasoned experience. If you have never stood before a bankruptcy court judge, this role is not for you. Qualifications: What Makes You a Great Fit? We’re looking for a skilled professional with: Proven Expertise: • Juris Doctor (JD) and active Iowa Bar license. • 5+ years of experience in bankruptcy law, including Chapters 7 and 13, basic civil litigation, and garnishments. • Experience with Chapters 11 and 12 is preferred. • Criminal defense experience is a HUGE bonus. Courtroom Confidence: • A history of representing clients effectively in bankruptcy court. Self-Motivation: • Proven success in a remote work environment with strong organizational skills.
