Job Summary

We are seeking a Bankruptcy Attorney to join our law firm. In this role, you will provide legal counsel, perform legal research, draft and review motions, notices, documents, attend court hearings and update and maintain case management and client systems. You will work closely with the bankruptcy department, paralegals and attorneys to provide excellent legal services to our clients. Responsibilities

Prepare contracts, briefs, motions, and other legal documents

Conduct legal research

Prepare for and attend legal proceedings

Provide legal counsel in conjunction with senior associates

Negotiate on behalf of clients

Maintain detailed and accurate client records

Supervise paralegals and administrative assistants

Qualifications

Successful completion of a Juris Doctor (J.D. degree) from an accredited law school and bar exam

Active member of the American Bar Association (ABA)

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite

Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills

Ability to collaborate with colleagues to best serve clients
