Key Responsibilities:

Contract Drafting and Negotiation:

• Draft, review, and negotiate a range of real estate agreements, such as leases, amendments, and purchase/sale contracts.
• Work closely with stakeholders to ensure agreements align with company objectives.

Leasing Management:

• Manage the legal aspects of commercial leasing transactions involving retail, office, and industrial properties.
• Address complex leasing issues, including negotiations and disputes.

Transaction Support:

• Provide legal support for acquisitions, dispositions, and development initiatives
• Conduct due diligence on real estate transactions.

Compliance and Risk Management:

• Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local laws.
• Identify and address potential risks, guiding stakeholders.

Internal Collaboration:

• Partner with business teams to offer legal counsel on real estate matters.
• Advise senior management on legal concerns and strategic decisions.

Candidate Profile:

• J.D. and active membership with the California Bar
• 3-7 years of experience in commercial real estate law
• In-house or top-tier law firm experience preferred
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented, business-savvy, and team-oriented

Offer:

• Salary: $135,000 – $175,000 based on experience
