Key Responsibilities:
Contract Drafting and Negotiation:
- Draft, review, and negotiate a range of real estate agreements, such as leases, amendments, and purchase/sale contracts.
- Work closely with stakeholders to ensure agreements align with company objectives.
Leasing Management:
- Manage the legal aspects of commercial leasing transactions involving retail, office, and industrial properties.
- Address complex leasing issues, including negotiations and disputes.
Transaction Support:
- Provide legal support for acquisitions, dispositions, and development initiatives
- Conduct due diligence on real estate transactions.
Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local laws.
- Identify and address potential risks, guiding stakeholders.
Internal Collaboration:
- Partner with business teams to offer legal counsel on real estate matters.
- Advise senior management on legal concerns and strategic decisions.
Candidate Profile:
- J.D. and active membership with the California Bar
- 3-7 years of experience in commercial real estate law
- In-house or top-tier law firm experience preferred
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented, business-savvy, and team-oriented
Offer:
- Salary: $135,000 – $175,000 based on experience
