Responsibilities:
- Associations Legal Advisor: Provide expert legal advice to community associations on governance, compliance, and operational matters.
- Document Drafting and Review: Draft, review, and update association governing documents, including bylaws, covenants, conditions, restrictions (CC&Rs), and rules and regulations.
- Dispute Resolution: Represent associations in resolving disputes with owners, developers, and third parties through negotiation, mediation, and litigation.
- Compliance Expert: Ensure associations comply with state and federal laws, including the Fair Housing Act, and advise on best practices for governance and management.
- Board Support: Assist association boards with legal guidance on meetings, elections, and policy enforcement, promoting effective and lawful decision-making.
Requirements:
- Licensed Attorney: Active FL bar license.
- Experience: Newly licensed attorneys are encouraged to apply!
- Communication Skills: Exceptional ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly and effectively to board members, owners, and stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented: Meticulous attention to detail and proficiency in drafting and reviewing legal documents.
