The New Business Intake Conflicts Attorney is integral to ensuring the firm adheres to ethical standards and compliance with conflict of interest rules. This position involves managing and resolving conflicts of interest, conducting client research, and supporting the firm’s business intake processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate the firm’s new business intake process, evaluating potential clients and matters thoroughly.
- Conduct detailed conflicts of interest analyses for new business using internal and external databases.
- Draft and implement conflicts waivers and ethical walls as necessary to resolve conflicts of interest.
- Advise attorneys and staff on compliance with the Rules of Professional Conduct.
- Provide guidance and training on the firm’s conflicts and business intake policies and procedures.
- Participate in the after-hours, weekend, and holiday on-call rotation for emergency conflicts checks and inquiries.
- Demonstrate effective interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills to facilitate effective work relationships.
- Ensure compliance with firm operations, policies, and procedures.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education & Experience:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and admission to the Bar.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in conflicts management, ethical compliance, or a related field in a large law firm.
