We are seeking a highly motivated associate to join our Employment and Labor practice group in our Reston, Virginia or Washington, DC office. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of broad experience in employment counseling, with a focus on statutory and regulatory compliance, executive employment and separation agreements, and employment aspects of M&A transactions. Some litigation experience is a plus.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice and counsel on employment matters, including statutory and regulatory compliance and executive agreements.
- Advise on employment-related issues in M&A transactions.
- Support the team in day-to-day client matters and offer practical solutions for complex employment issues.
- Assist with some employment litigation matters as needed.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in employment counseling, particularly in compliance, executive agreements, and M&A transactions.
- Some litigation experience is a plus.
- Strong academic credentials and excellent communication skills.
- A strong work ethic and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be admitted to the Virginia or DC Bar.
Compensation and Benefits
- Annual pay range: $260,000 - $365,000 (dependent on experience and location).
