Attorneys effectively managing their docket should earn $170,000+. Partners managing a team should earn $300,000+. Responsibilities: • Advise clients by weighing available options toward a successful outcome and plan a course of action • Get the appropriate legal documents ready for clients, such as brief, motions, and pleadings, as well as correspondence • Appear in court on behalf of clients and argue motions during legal proceedings • Analyze client needs, identify solutions, and determine case strategies • Manage administrative assistants, paralegals, and law clerks • Manage a docket and stay offensive with pre-litigation and litigation files • Conduct depositions, mediations, trial prep, trials, and hearings • Handle motions and discovery • Devise case strategy • Negotiate with the insurance adjuster and defense attorneys • Draft motions and petitions • Report on case pipeline and quarterly KPIs • All attorneys are responsible for legal operations consistent with the firm’s mission and values Qualifications: • Candidates must currently be a member of their local bar association - active member preferred • Decision-making, public speaking, problem-solving, interpersonal skills, and communication skills are a must • Prior experience working in a law firm for a minimum of 1-2 years required • Able to work independently while handling multiple files • Required Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school; representation of clients for at least 2 years a plus • Strong leadership skills • Litigation and trial experience preferred • Strong organizational and task prioritization • Strong analytical and legal writing skills • Ability to adapt and perform in high-pressure situations • Effective and thorough communicator • Excellent writing skills • Actively seeks and implements feedback and works well with a team • Good standing with the State Bar of Texas • Personal commitment to a balanced and healthy lifestyle Compensation: $170,000 DOE
