  • Responsibilities

    A well-established law firm with a national presence is seeking an attorney to join its Healthcare & Long-Term Care Litigation Practice Group in the San Diego, CA office.

     

    Qualifications:

    • Must be admitted to practice in California.
    • 1–7 years of experience representing healthcare providers in state and federal courts and administrative proceedings.
    • Experience defending and litigating medical malpractice lawsuits is preferred.
    • Strong writing and analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

     

    Responsibilities:

    • Draft and respond to discovery requests and initial pleadings.
    • Prepare and argue motions in open court.
    • Conduct witness interviews and depositions (both taking and defending).
    • Manage cases from pre-litigation through trial preparation.
    • Work directly with healthcare clients, including hospitals, physicians, nurses, and long-term care facilities.

     

    Practice Focus Areas:

    • Medical malpractice litigation across various specialties (obstetrics, surgery, cardiology, neurology, etc.).
    • Elder abuse litigation for long-term care facilities.
    • Representation of healthcare providers in state and federal courts.
  • Compensation
    $125,000-$175,000 per year
