  • Responsibilities

    A leading global law firm seeking an experienced M&A Resource Attorney to support our M&A practice group. The role will involve various responsibilities to assist in the efficient functioning of the group, from managing transaction databases to drafting precedents and coordinating legal education. This is an ideal position for an attorney with substantial experience in M&A who seeks a role that supports attorneys in their practice without direct client work.

     

    Key Responsibilities

    • Transaction Database Management: Input deal terms from signed transactions into the revamped Transaction Database and collaborate with the knowledge management team for maintenance and audits.
    • Form and Precedent Drafting/Management: Draft and revise M&A templates, organize the group’s forms and precedents.
    • Legal Updates: Monitor legal and regulatory developments in M&A, prepare summaries and alerts, and integrate new legal requirements into practice resources.
    • Legal Education: Work with the legal education team to develop content for associate training and firm-wide M&A education initiatives.
    • Marketing/Business Development: Collaborate with the marketing team to strategize content for the firm’s M&A promotion, assist with pitches, presentations, and articles.
    • Attorney Support: Assist with day-to-day requests from attorneys for precedents, templates, and other resources.
    • New Initiatives: Contribute to resource, knowledge management, and practice innovation projects.
    • Other Duties: Perform additional duties as required.

     

    Qualifications

    • A licensed attorney with at least 7 years of experience in a US M&A corporate/transactional practice.
    • Experience in public and private M&A, corporate governance, board fiduciary duties, and market trends.
    • Strong drafting, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
    • Ability to handle multiple projects and collaborate with various stakeholders.
    • Flexibility and willingness to support evolving initiatives.
    • Strong team player, working closely with the senior Resource Attorney and other team members.

     

    Compensation and Benefits

    • Annual pay range: $275,000 - $335,000 (dependent on experience and location).
