This is a full-time position and will either be: • Located in our Portland office (four days per week in the office and one day per week from home); or • A hybrid/remote role if you live near Salem, Albany, Eugene, Corvallis, McMinnville, or Vancouver, Washington. Compensation: The annual salary range for this position is $80,000 - $120,000, plus bonus opportunities, depending upon experience and fit. Responsibilities: • Responsible for a caseload of 25-35 clients who face DUI and related criminal charges • Work with a dedicated legal assistant to ensure effective client care • Interpret law for clients and help them understand their legal options • Develop case strategies and solutions that meet the needs of the client • Represent clients at arraignments, hearings, and trials • Litigate administrative hearings to contest driving privilege suspensions • Negotiate with prosecutors to achieve the best possible outcomes • Conduct legal research, draft motions, and present arguments to the court • Participate in training to stay updated on changes and new developments in the DUI field Qualifications: • J.D. from ABA accredited law school • Licensed and in good standing of the Oregon State Bar • Five or more years of criminal law experience as a defense attorney, prosecutor, and/or in a judicial capacity • Experience and working knowledge of at least one metro-area circuit court (Clackamas, Multnomah, or Washington Cty) • Familiarity with DUI defense and felony cases preferred • Bonus if you have Washington State criminal law experience and/or are fluent in Spanish Note - If you don't have five years of relevant experience, but you do meet all our other qualifications and Reynolds Defense Firm's work resonates with you, please apply - we'd love to get to know you, and we do have some ability to mold this role to fit the right person.
