About Us:

Connolly Krause is a premier litigation firm dedicated to defending businesses, insurers, and professionals in complex matters. We are seeking a highly skilled attorney with federal court experience who is licensed in Illinois and Missouri to join our growing team.

Position Overview:

The ideal candidate will have experience handling cases in federal court, including drafting motions, conducting depositions, and presenting well reasoned arguments to the Court. This role involves working on litigation matters across various practice areas, with most of the attorney's practice focused on medical negligence and Section 1983 claims.

This position will be a hybrid position with the opportunity to work remotely and on site.

Key Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in federal court proceedings, including hearings, trials, and motions practice.
• Draft pleadings, briefs, motions, and other legal documents.
• Conduct legal research and analyze complex legal issues.
• Manage discovery, including depositions, document review, and expert witness coordination.
• Collaborate with colleagues and clients to develop case strategies.
• Maintain a high level of professionalism and compliance with ethical standards.

Qualifications:

• Must be licensed to practice law in Illinois.
• Preference will be given to attorneys licensed in both Illinois and Missouri.
• Significant experience practicing in federal court , including trial experience preferred.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage a caseload efficiently and work both independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Prior experience in Section 1983 claims is a plus.
