Opportunity Overview
We are looking for a dynamic and motivated Audit Manager with extensive audit experience to join our Atlanta office. The Audit Manager will collaborate with the audit team to enhance client relationships and will oversee the planning, organization, and supervision of multiple client engagements, including audits and consulting projects. We prioritize keeping our audit professionals updated on current practices and changes in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
Key Responsibilities
\- Manage and perform audits, reviews, and compilations.
\- Oversee all phases of engagements from planning to financial statement issuance, ensuring adherence to quality control procedures.
\- Coordinate with partners regarding engagement progress, proposing solutions and managing client communications, staffing needs, planning, and scheduling.
\- Handle direct client billing responsibilities.
\- Effectively delegate tasks and provide ongoing mentorship to staff.
\- Conduct performance reviews.
\- Understand clients' industries, identifying key performance indicators and emerging trends.
\- Maintain year-round client contact to assess the impact of significant developments on audit engagements.
\- Engage in networking activities and maintain relationships with industry peers.
\- Support management in policy and procedure decisions, sharing insights with the team.
\- Assist with additional tasks as needed.
\- Willingness to travel up to 20% of the year, depending on client needs.
Qualifications
\- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; Master’s degree preferred.
\- 5 + years of experience in public accounting or related fields.
\- At least 3 years of experience leading teams and training staff.
\- Active CPA license.
\- Strong analytical and project management skills, with proficiency in GAAP and GAAS.
\- Experience with financial statement attestation engagements.
\- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, taking ownership of engagements.
\- Excellent multitasking abilities to manage multiple projects and teams.
\- Outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
