Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during audit and review engagements and build relationships with client management as well as communicate findings and recommendations.
Industries the team member will be working in and exposed to include Healthcare, rental real estate, not for profit, construction contracting and employee benefit plans, HUD, labor unions.
Scheduling, planning, and executing audit and review engagements in accordance with GAAS. Supervision and review of work prepared by staff and senior accountants.
Supervise and mentor team members by planning appropriate work for junior and senior staff, answering technical as well as procedural questions and teaching improved processes
Provide guidance on complex accounting and auditing issues. Able to identify misstatements and correcting journal entries.
Identify opportunities for improving efficiencies in audit and review engagement processes, manage and report to team manager regarding engagement budgets.
Ensure that all audit work complies with firm policies, professional standards, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance
4+ years of audit/accounting experience within a public accounting firm.
CPA preferred.
Experience managing multiple engagements and multiple staff members concurrently.
