Linkitall (LIA) is seeking a Compliance Auditor for one of our clients in Richmond, VA. LIA is a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) that links the expertise of human resources with the functionality of leading-edge technology to deliver mission-centric professional services.
Position: Compliance Auditor

Position Type: Full-time
Responsibilities:
Conduct performance audits in accordance with GAGAS (Generally Accepted Government Auditing Standards) or similar auditing standards. Must maintain appropriate licenses and all assignments in accordance with the GAGAS or similar auditing standards.
Audit administrative controls of state and non-state agencies and make recommendations to improve and protect the Commonwealth’s assets.
Conduct performance audits, on both a pre and post-implementation basis, to assess the internal controls therein, of both automated information systems and facilities and development of audit software.
Provide data analysis and data mining services in support of audit projects.
Direct, supervise, counsel, and guide all contractor staff in the completion of projects.
Design useful business reports and dashboards that highlight accomplishments, targets, and problem areas.
Utilize innovation and technology solutions to solve business issues, as part of audit services.
Develop/write reports, and presentations which are well-developed, well-written, factual, and supported by appropriate graphics if needed.
Document, evaluate, and test any new fiscal processes and retest a sample of unchanged processes.
Update and test the Process and Transaction-Level Internal Control Assessment for all agency fund sources.
Review prior documentation and assess whether organizational changes necessitate a reevaluation of fiscal processes.
Coordinate the assessment of transaction-level controls, ensuring compliance with state policies and procedures.
Maintain appropriate licenses and all assignments in accordance with the GAGAS or similar auditing standards.
Requirements:
Minimum of 10 years of experience in auditing, fiscal management, financial operations, or internal controls, preferably in government or large organizational settings.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience with the Commonwealth of Virginia’s ARMICS (Agency Risk Management and Internal Control Standards).
Familiarity with Sarbanes-Oxley compliance audits and Generally Accepted Government Auditing Standards (GAGAS).
Trained in principles and techniques of performance auditing, as well as experienced and trained in state agency inspections/reviews.
