    PROGRAM MANAGER, FAMILY WELLNESS - FULL TIME - CANAAN, CT

    ABOUT US:

    Mountainside, founded in 1998, is a leading behavioral healthcare provider dedicated to treating alcohol dependency and drug addiction. Accredited by The Joint Commission and CARF for its high standards of care, Mountainside seeks out passionate and talented individuals to join its staff.

    Mountainside Treatment Center is currently seeking a Senior Clinician.  The Senior Clinician provides leadership, supervision and guidance for the Clinical Program and Clinicians.  The candidate must model professionalism, commitment, compassion and integrity, and assures that clients receive unsurpassed quality of treatment.

     

    SCHEDULE: Sunday through Thursday 8:00a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

     

    JOB SUMMARY:

    The Family Wellness Program Manager is responsible for meeting the expectations of Clinical Counselor, to include collaboration with a multi-disciplinary treatment team to create an individualized recovery experience for each client.  Provide individual and family group therapy sessions and facilitate treatment groups. In addition, model viable brief treatment and case management strategies to clinical team and provide support to clinical team in appropriate fashion.

    The Program Manager will be responsible for organizing and supporting the Family Wellness administrative functions. Support day-to-day operations and ensuring high quality programming and initiatives that meet the needs of the clients and their families. Facilitating communication within the continuum as well as fostering a strong relationship within the local community.

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING, OTHER DUTIES MAY BE ASSIGNED:

    • Comply with all federal, state and accreditation regulatory requirements.

    • Provide individual/family therapy for a small case load, not to exceed 10 clients

    • Review client's discharge records from previous treatment providers, contacting client's emergency contacts and family members, former providers and referral sources.

    • Utilize identified screening/assessment tools, stage-wise interventions and treatment models.

    • Understand group dynamics/processes, facilitate groups with a focus on integrated care and documents efforts via individualized progress notes.

    • Role model, explain and encourage pro-social behaviors such as: 12-step meeting etiquette, time management, appropriate language, dress and the importance of building same gender fellowships.

    • Maintain weekly communication with clients' family to report client progress and wellbeing at Mountainside.

    • Collaborate with client to create a plan which considers the family dynamics and therapeutic needs of the client to sustain or continue to develop a program of recovery

    • Ensure on a weekly basis the Family Program Orientation for all new clients admitted to Mountainside

    • Ensure that the multi-day Family Wellness Workshop is facilitated once per month.

    • Participate collaboratively in a professional and compassionate manner, within the overall treatment program at Mountainside.

    • Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings.

    • Conduct individual clinical supervision and group clinical supervision.

    • Ensure that program staff receives in-service training as scheduled

    • Establish goals and objectives for services based on the established program philosophy and Licensure/Accreditation standards; establishes the organizational structure for their achievement.

    • Provide and present department metrics monthly.

    • Monitor and evaluate the quality and appropriateness of performance of the program staff, resolving identified problems, reporting information to the Director, Clinical Operations and as appropriate.

    • Develop, plan and implement strategies to manage program growth and sustainability of the program

    • Assess staffing and scheduling practices for delivery of program services and for cost effectiveness.

    • Speak publicly at specific trainings/meetings regarding Mountainside's Family Wellness Program and the treatment program in general.

    • As appropriate, revise and update multi-day family program. Revise & Implement program content and services in relation to Family Roles as directed by Director, Clinical Operations and/or as indicated in your objectives remaining attentive to consumer feedback.

    • Anticipate possible problems and develop contingency plans in advance.

    • Notice trends in the industry and develop plans to prepare for opportunities or problems.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

    • Graduate Degree in related field
    • Five years minimum experience/knowledge in substance abuse treatment
    • Two years minimum experience working in a substance abuse treatment environment and must include experience in a senior/supervisory role
    • Currently licensed in Connecticut: LMFT, LCSW, LMHC required
    • Currently licensed in multiple states: CT, NY, NJ preferred

     

    SKILLS AND ABILITIES          

    • Must have computer skills including competence in software applications such as Microsoft Office suite, Adobe and use of internet applications and in using and/or connecting wireless computer hardware, the ability to project to remote devices, etc.
    • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as necessary.
    • Awareness and sensitivity to addiction, socioeconomics and strong cultural competency.
    • Strong oral and written communication
    • Excellent organization and time management skills.
    • Ability to understand and assist with budgetary process
