The Auto Mechanic diagnoses, inspects, maintains, and repairs automotive vehicles and equipment. The work involves servicing and repairing cars, trucks, construction equipment, police and fire vehicles and other automotive related equipment. This position may require you to work overtime and be on call during storms and emergency situations. Qualifications

• Three (3) years of recent experience as an automotive or diesel mechanic in a truck or heavy equipment shop, automobile repair where experience in working with computerized engines, hybrid and battery electric vehicle systems, fuel injection systems, turbochargers, blowers, and automatic and manual transmissions (light and heavy) has been obtained.
• Currently certified or have previously been certified (not more than 5 years expired) with A.S.E. or O.E.M. certification is required
• OR
• 5 years professional recent experience as a heavy equipment mechanic specializing in diesel, hydraulic systems, and welding experience where certification is unavailable or uncommon.
• AND
• A high school diploma or GED.
• A valid driver’s license at the time of application, and a valid Colorado driver’s license within 30 days of employment
