    JE Import, Baltimore's leading shop for high-performance automotive modifications and general repair is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Automotive Service Writer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of providing excellent customer service, accurately assessing vehicle needs, and effectively communicating with both customers and technicians. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: • Greet customers and assess their vehicle service needs. • Create accurate work orders, including detailed descriptions of customer concerns and required repairs. • Utilize various resources, including local parts stores, wholesale distributors, online retailers, OEM dealerships, and salvage yards, to locate and procure parts. • Obtain customer authorization for repairs. • Communicate effectively with technicians to ensure timely and accurate completion of work. • Provide regular updates to customers on the status of their vehicles. • Explain repairs and maintenance services to customers in a clear and understandable manner. • Prepare and present repair estimates to customers. • Process payments and close out work orders. • Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction with services. • Meet or exceed sales and customer satisfaction goals. Qualifications: • Proven experience as an Automotive Service Writer (minimum 2 years). • Strong understanding of automotive systems and repair procedures. • Excellent customer service and communication skills. • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. • Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Compensation: $45,000+ yearly
