HIRING NOW: Title Clerk
This position is responsible for processing vehicle titles using the respective states/agencies guidelines in a timely and accurate manner to assure a high level of customer satisfaction while satisfying company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Title Processing: Prepare and process all vehicle title paperwork, including transfers, new titles, and reassignments, for leased vehicles, ensuring compliance with state and local regulations.
- Vehicle Registration: Handle vehicle registrations, renewals, and cancellations, and ensure all vehicles are properly registered in a timely manner.
- Lien Management: Coordinate with leasing and financial institutions to ensure all liens are filed and released accurately.
- Documentation Handling: Collect and verify all necessary documents for titling and registration, including proof of insurance, power of attorney, and customer identification.
- Customer Interaction: Assist clients with any title or registration issues, providing support in resolving discrepancies or delays.
- Compliance and Reporting: Ensure all license and title processes comply with federal, state, and local laws. Prepare reports as needed to track vehicle status, titling, and registration progress.
- Fleet Maintenance: Maintain accurate records of all vehicles in the company’s fleet, including tracking title status, renewal dates, and any necessary follow-up.
- Ticket / Toll Processing: Manage a maintain accurate ticket processing and follow up with customers and ticket agencies.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the sales and leasing departments to ensure a smooth handoff of documentation and efficient processing of all necessary paperwork.
- Vendor Management: Coordinate with the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV), third-party service providers, and external vendors as needed.
- Problem Solving: Resolve any issues related to title or registration in a timely manner, including investigating and correcting any errors or discrepancies.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Prior experience as a License and Title Clerk within the vehicle leasing, fleet management, or automotive dealership industry is highly preferred, but not required.
- Knowledge of DMV regulations and processes in multiple states (experience with Texas DMV preferred).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Experience with vehicle leasing management software and database systems is a plus.
- Must have a clean driving record.
