    We are a supplier of material handling systems. We are seeking a Service Technician for our Automated Car Parking Systems division in the New York City area. The job role includes mechanical, electrical and PLC/software trouble shooting tasks. A good background in electrical and mechanical installation and/or troubleshooting with some experience of controls / industrial automation (Siemens, Allen Bradley) is essential.

    Duties • Visit sites to perform scheduled preventative maintenance including cleaning, lubricating parts, inspecting components (sensors, motors, drive belts etc.) repair or replacement of parts where applicable etc. • Respond to Call Outs to perform reactive maintenance and resolve system faults in a timely manner. • Be “On Call” for periods outside of regular working hours for reactive Call Outs. • Understand the system operation and troubleshoot issues efficiently. • Complete work order forms and write reports on fault resolution. • Correspond with company’s 24/7 Help Desk. • Some heavy lifting and heavy duty tasks such as large motor replacement. • In addition, may be required to support installation of new projects, or to perform maintenance on material handling systems in other parts of the US from time to time

This includes but is not limited to: • Completing all required and assigned HSE training to a satisfactory level. • Participating in all HSE related activities as required, including incident investigations, interviews, auditing and assessment etc. • Reporting any conditions which you feel could result in an accident or injury and / or stopping work if required.

    Essential Requirements (mandatory) • Engineering background with minimum 4 years’ experience in the maintenance of industrial / mechanical systems. • Astute problem solver with ability to work independently. • Good command of English language and clear communicator, both verbal and written. • Able to work effectively under pressure. • Technical expertise related to automation and industrial systems.
