    Summary: The candidate will be responsible for testing customer products using the Automated Optical Inspection machine, to ensure they meet all required specifications prior to being released to the next process or shipping.

    Job Duties:

    Accurately perform automated optical (AOI) inspection of assemblies, including shutdown and start-up.

    Perform equipment non-routine and weekly/monthly preventative maintenance.

    Understand all production processes that relate to inspection; use industry standards and good judgement in determining acceptable standards.

    Read and comprehend documentation, such as customer-supplied drawings, parts lists, etc.

    Act as an authorized agent to stop manufacturing when nonconformances are noted and report any errors or major discrepancies to the group leader and/or management immediately, so immediate corrective action may be taken.

    Record all AOI daily run information, keep accurate and detailed records.

    Keep rejected product segregated from accepted.

    Assist with visual inspection, as needed.

    Responsible for compliance with BSU’s Quality Management System and other regulatory and statutory requirements as required by the customer.

    Accountable for accepting responsibility for continuous on the job training by actively participating in training.

    Other duties as assigned.

    Requirements:

    AOI and/or Inspection of electronic assembly helpful and inspection experience preferred.

    Familiar with electronics components: resistors, capacitors, diodes, inductors, transistors, ICs, etc...

    Ability to read schematics, follow procedures and apply computer skills and knowledge to resolve technical problems.

    Education:

    1. High School diploma or General Education degree (GED) preferred, or 2+ years related work experience.
