Position Overview:
We are seeking an Automation/Controls Engineer to design, develop, and implement control systems for automated industrial equipment. This role will focus on programming PLCs, configuring HMIs, and integrating motion control systems to optimize manufacturing processes for efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, program, and troubleshoot PLC-based control systems (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar).
Develop HMI/SCADA applications for user interface and data collection.
Specify and integrate sensors, actuators, drives, and industrial communication networks.
Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software teams to deliver integrated automation solutions.
Conduct system testing, commissioning, and on-site support for installations.
Maintain project documentation, including wiring diagrams, programming logic, and manuals.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives for automation processes and system reliability.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
3+ years of hands-on experience with automation and controls engineering.
Strong proficiency in PLC programming (ladder logic, structured text) and HMI development.
Experience with industrial networking (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus, etc.).
Familiarity with safety standards (NFPA 79, ISO 13849, etc.).
Solid troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently.
Willingness to travel occasionally for system installations and support.
