    This position has lots of growth and flexibility with some options to work from home but will need to be onsite most of the time in the Bend, OR area.

    This is a hands-on position so you will need at least 2 years of recent Rockwell PLC/HMI programming from scratch. A successful candidate will demonstrate familiarity with automated industrial control systems as well as knowledge of IT/OT, network & security systems.

    Enthusiasm for automation and a collaborative mindset; working with and supporting colleagues on multiple projects in a sometimes fast-paced environment with open communication and a desire to learn are key attributes.

    Key responsibilities:

    • Assist in the installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of automated process and facility equipment and control systems.

    • Support equipment startup, commissioning, and qualification activities to ensure flawless operation.

    • Troubleshoot and repair automated industrial control systems to support manufacturing and development operations.

    • Perform hands-on, detailed work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

    • Collaborate with internal multi-disciplinary team members to craft/modify equipment supporting GMP operations, product development, and R&D activities.

    • Work collaboratively with automation team colleagues, support electrical and automation designs of senior colleagues, communicate openly, and learn from each other.

    • Support field installation of instrumentation and controls devices to system control panels.

    • Support updates to data historian systems (OSIsoft PI System).

    • Demonstrate the ability to perform hands-on, detailed work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

    • Maintain proficiency in the design, installation, and implementation of electro-mechanical control systems.

    • Troubleshoot electrical systems and automated equipment in a GMP environment.

    • Apply industry-standard software engineering principles such as IEEE, GAMP, and 21CFR Part 11.

    • Apply knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems, Microsoft Project, AutoCAD, and Building Automation Systems.

    Key requirements:

    • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience (preferred), Associates Degree or equivalent experience (minimum) in Industrial Controls / Automation / Electrical Engineering or a similar field.

    • Experience working with industrial automation, instrumentation, and controls, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

    • Experience in biotech/pharmaceutical or similar regulated industries is preferred.

    • Willingness to support manufacturing operations on an on-call rotation basis.

    • Electrical troubleshooting experience and familiarity with safety practices.

    • Familiarity with Allen Bradley PLC and HMI development environment, Studio 5000, and supporting FactoryTalk systems (FT Directory, AssetCentre, Alarm & Events, etc.).

    • Knowledge of 2D CAD systems to support electrical and system documentation.

    • Familiarity with P&IDs.

    • Familiarity with SCADA and Building Automation Systems.

    • Familiarity with IT/OT, network systems, and security is a plus.
