    Job Description:

    • We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Field Service Technician to join our team.

    • This position will be supporting our automated seed treatment equipment that we design and manufacture.

    • This position will be responsible for the check out and startup of equipment, training operators, and troubleshooting equipment.

    • The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work independently in various locations.

    • This role requires extensive travel to customer sites for installation, troubleshooting, and training on our equipment.

    Education and Experience Requirements:

    • Associate’s Degree in a related field plus 4 years of relevant experience, or a High School Diploma or equivalent plus 6 years of relevant experience.

    • Proven experience working with PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), specifically Allen Bradley and Emerson systems.

    • Solid understanding of VFD (Variable Frequency Drives) functions, operations, troubleshooting, and programming.

    • Ability to troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and automation issues.

    • Proficient in reading blueprints, schematics, machine drawings, and interpreting complex specifications.

    • Strong ability to troubleshoot wiring and conduct Input/Output checks.

    • Knowledgeable in mechanical and electrical process systems.

    • Familiarity with the proper use of tools necessary for troubleshooting, repairing, or assembling equipment systems.

    • Competent in mathematical concepts.

    • Committed to complying with Customer QHSE (Quality Health Safety Environmental) requirements while on-site.

    • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively and professionally with customers, colleagues, vendors, and contractors.

    • Willingness to travel 90% of the time, including possibility of 25% international travel.

    • Ability to meet DOT (Department of Transportation) requirements for driving/hauling.

    • Capable of passing a driving record background check (including moving violations, accidents, license suspension, etc.).

    Major Tasks & Responsibilities:

    • Assist customers with inquiries regarding equipment types, prices, specifications, and operation.

    • Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and automation issues remotely and on site.

    • Travel to customer sites to install, check out, calibrate, and provide training on equipment.

    • Monitor truck inventory.

    • Complete documentation of on site actions and troubleshooting steps.

    • Calculate treatment mixtures accurately.

    • Calibrate liquid dry and seed associated with seed-treater operations.

    • Test and troubleshoot equipment both locally and at customer sites.

    • Conduct updated training sessions for existing equipment systems.

    • Communicate programming requirements effectively to engineering teams and vendors.

    • Collaborate with Engineering, Sales, and Customers on equipment system projects.

    • Participate in workshops, field days, and tradeshows as needed.

    • Work closely with customer engineering, maintenance, and management to ensure design accuracy and proposal integrity.

    • Provide technical input for system designs and quotations in collaboration with commercial operations and marketing.

    • Assist site general contractors during the installation and start-up of industrial treating systems.
