  • Responsibilities

    We are seeking a skilled Automotive Mechanic to maintain and repair a variety of vehicles and equipment, including automobiles, trucks, and construction machinery. This role requires expertise in diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance for gasoline, diesel, and alternative fuel systems. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Vehicle & Equipment Maintenance: Repair and overhaul automobiles, trucks, tractors, air compressors, cement mixers, and other machinery.
    • Diagnostics & Troubleshooting: Analyze and test engines, transmissions, electrical systems, and hydraulic components to identify and resolve issues.
    • Brake & Suspension Work: Check and balance wheels for proper alignment, repair brakes, and maintain suspension systems.
    • Emergency Roadside Service: Perform on-site repairs as needed.
    • Regulatory Inspections: Ensure all fleet vehicles comply with Pennsylvania state regulations.
    • Welding & Fabrication: Conduct minor welding and fabrication work as required.
    • Record Keeping: Maintain detailed service and repair records.
    • Vehicle Operation: Operate various types of motor vehicles and equipment as needed.

    Qualifications

    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Valid Class B CDL (must pass Class A CDL road test during probationary period).
    • N or X endorsement (or ability to obtain within probationary period).
    • No CDL restrictions for manual transmission, air brakes, or tractor-trailer operation.
    • Valid DOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate.
    • Pennsylvania state inspection license (Class 4 or 7 preferred; Class 1 with ability to obtain 4 or 7 within 90 days accepted).
    • Automotive technology degree/certification OR 3+ years of mechanic experience with expertise in engine diagnostics, electronics, and hydraulics.

    Salary info:

    $27.16 - $27.16 / hr
