    Graff Chevrolet of Durand is looking to hire a sales representative for the first time in over four years. We are seeking a driven, experienced and high energy individual to join our Sales Team. The right candidate is not just looking for a job he or she must be looking for a career. We will train the right person! This is a great opportunity to start or advance your career in retail automotive and immerse yourself in the entire dealership experience.

    In this role, you will be the link between the buyer and their future vehicle. You will assist the customer with questions regarding the company, perspective vehicles, and their ability to purchase. You will learn about all of the newest vehicles and technologies on the market. We offer training to help ensure your success; including online and in-store training programs with our manufacturers. The Sales Consultant is responsible to sell new or used vehicles at a profit to the dealership while ensuring an extraordinary client experience and creating client advocates.

    Core Responsibilities

    Meets dealership sales goals.

    Determine each customer’s vehicle needs by asking questions and listening.

    Maintain customer satisfaction scores at or above company standards.

    Complete all paperwork accompanying vehicle sales

    Demonstrate vehicles (includes test drives).

    Establish personal income goals that are consistent with dealership standards of productivity, and devise a strategy to meet those goals.

    Report to the vehicle Sales Manager regarding objectives, planned activities, reviews and analysis.

    Keep up-to-date of incoming inventory, features, accessories, etc., and how they benefit customers.

    Attend sales meetings and training offered by the dealership and the manufacturer.

    Maintain a prospect development system.

    Maintain an owner follow-up system that encourages repeat and referral business.

    Review and analyze actions at the end of each day, week, month and year to determine how to better utilize time and plan more effectively.

    Understand the terminology of the automobile business and keep abreast of technological changes in the products.

    Know and understand equity and values, and be able to explain depreciation to the customer.

    Know and understand the federal, state and local laws which govern retail auto sales.

    Introduce customers to service department personnel to emphasize to them the quality and efficiency of service repairs and maintenance available in the dealership’s service department.

    Must follow all company safety policies and procedures, and immediately report any and all accidents to a manager.

    Follows Safeguards and Compliance rules and regulations.

    Required Qualifications

    Previous sales experience

    Working knowledge of social media and the internet

    High school diploma or the equivalent.

    Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.

    Valid in-state driver’s license with good driving record.

    Professional personal appearance.

    Experience in an automotive dealership

    Must be a customer service oriented individual

    Excellent communication skills.

    Ability to sell a minimum quota according to dealership standards.
