Responsibilities: • Clearly articulate automotive repair issues and repairs needed to remedy them to both customers and auto mechanics • Apply a checklist-based approach to ensure a comprehensive examination of all vehicle systems, including the engine, air conditioning, transmission, and brake systems • Establish processes for tracking diagnostics and system repairs, maintaining up-to-date manufacturer specifications, and more • Operate diagnostic equipment to accurately determine the cause of malfunction codes with the vehicle’s integrated computer system • Perform routine maintenance, as needed, like checking fluid levels, rotating tires, and oil changes Qualifications: • National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence, or ASE certification is strongly desired • Strong customer service and communications skills are needed • GED or high school diploma is mandatory • Completion of a certified post-secondary training program is mandatory; an associate degree is ideal Compensation: $20 - $30 hourly DOE
