Automotive Technician – Midas South Lakeland

At Midas, we are committed to providing high-quality services to our customers’ vehicles, focusing on inspection, diagnosis, and repair. Our team relies on the expertise and dedication of our technicians to ensure exceptional service and customer satisfaction. We are currently seeking an experienced Automotive Technician (A or B level) to join our full-service facility. This individual will be able to work independently, as well as collaborate effectively with a team when needed. We are looking for Automotive Master Technicians to help us foster an environment of success.

Responsibilities:

As a Midas Automotive Technician, you will be responsible for a broad range of diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance, including but not limited to:

• Diagnostics using state-of-the-art computer systems

• Electrical diagnostics

• Tire repair and replacement

• Car heating and air conditioning systems

• Steering and suspension repairs

• Belts and hoses replacement

• Radiator and engine cooling system maintenance

• Battery, starting, and charging systems

• Brake inspection and repair

• Oil changes and fluid checks

• Check engine light diagnostics

• Muffler and exhaust services

• Welding (where applicable)

• Performing visual safety and courtesy inspections

Qualifications:

• Ability to perform repairs independently while also collaborating in a team environment

• Strong knowledge of automotive systems, including brakes, exhaust, suspension, and engine diagnostics

• Proven track record of high personal productivity

• Experience with shop equipment (e.g., lifts, tire changers, alignment machines, and scan tools)

• Knowledge of safety and environmental standards in repair facilities

• Valid driver’s license

• Own tools and equipment

• Ability to service both foreign and domestic vehicles
