We are looking for a dedicated Automotive Technician to join our reconditioning and service team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining preowned vehicles, ensuring that each repair meets rigorous quality standards. Your technical expertise will directly contribute to the safety and performance of every vehicle you work on, while you also serve as the primary client contact within your designated area.
* Examine vehicles to diagnose mechanical issues, assess damage, and determine the necessary repairs.
* Conduct in-depth repairs covering systems such as engine performance, transmission, brakes, electrical, suspension, and more.
* Complete routine maintenance services like fluid changes, preventive inspections, and tire rotations.
* Serve as the main point of contact for clients in your assigned geographic area, discussing vehicle issues and repair options as necessary.
* Document all service details and maintain accurate repair orders.
* Test drive vehicles before and after repairs to ensure proper functionality.
* Operate a company-provided vehicle to visit various locations for on-site diagnostics and repairs.
* Communicate additional service needs with advisors, ensuring clear and timely client communications.
* Work effectively with team members to deliver high-quality repairs and meet daily service goals.
* Maintain a safe, organized work environment following established safety protocols.
* Previous experience diagnosing and reconditioning preowned vehicles is required.
* High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent combination of education and experience) required.
* Solid knowledge of all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance, including engine repair, fluid services, brake systems, electrical systems, and suspension work.
* Proven ability in performing both routine services and mid-level diagnostics on a variety of vehicles.
* Must hold a valid driver’s license and be capable of driving manual transmission vehicles.
* Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish) is preferred.
* Ability to pass a drug test and background check is required.
* Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills and proficiency with automotive repair tools and equipment.
Salary info:
$18 - $21.50 / hr
