The Automotive Technician will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing a wide range of vehicles, including cars, trucks, and SUVs. They will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, such as oil changes and tire rotations, as well as more complex repairs, such as engine and transmission overhauls.
Responsibilities:
Diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicles
Perform routine maintenance, such as oil changes and tire rotations
Perform complex repairs, such as engine and transmission overhauls
Outfit vehicles with modifications or additional equipment
Perform diagnostic tests using diagnostic tools and equipment
Troubleshoot, repair, and install electrical components
Interpret test results
Stay up-to-date with the latest automotive technologies and trends
Follow all safety procedures and guidelines
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Qualifications:
Strong mechanical aptitude
Attention to detail
Read and understand blueprints and electrical diagrams
Ability to troubleshoot
Knowledge of electrical systems and components
Experience with automotive repair and maintenance is a plus
ASE certification is a plus
Good communication and teamwork skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or apprenticeship in a related field is a plus
Must have a valid driver's license
