    Meineke Car Care in Salisbury, MD is seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience in automotive repair and maintenance, with knowledge on a variety of makes of vehicles. This role requires a commitment to delivering excellent customer service while ensuring that vehicles are repaired efficiently and effectively.

    Responsibilities

    Diagnose and repair automotive mechanical/electrical systems, ensuring all components function properly.

    Perform routine vehicle maintenance, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.

    Utilize hand tools and power tools to conduct repairs and alignments on various vehicle types.

    Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used for each vehicle.

    Communicate effectively with Sales Associates to explain repairs needed and provide recommendations for vehicle maintenance.

    Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of all service requests.

    Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques to enhance skills and knowledge.

    Requirements

    Proven experience in automotive repair.

    Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.

    Familiarity with automotive electrical systems is essential.

    Proficient in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.

    Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to customers.

    Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

    A valid driver's license is required; additional certifications in automotive technology are a plus.

    Requirements:

    High school diploma or equivalent.

    ASE certification is preferred

    Advanced understanding of automotive systems and components.

    Familiarity with diagnostic equipment used in automotive repair.

    Ability to follow instructions, work effectively in a team environment, and uphold Meineke's commitment to high-quality work.

    Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

    Excellent communication and customer service skills to ensure customer satisfaction.

    Physical stamina and dexterity to perform manual tasks and lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds).
