Position Overview
Join our team at San Francisco International Airport (SFO). We need to hire a Duty Manager to be part of our San Francisco Terminal Equipment Company, LLC (SFOTEC) team.
You're the ideal candidate for our position if you have experience working at a commercial airport, specifically in airport operations. As the Duty Manager, you will act as a liaison between the airlines, airport, government agencies, contractors, vendors, and suppliers. In addition, you'll coordinate with airlines, vendors, and contractors to ensure that each airline receives the appropriate level of service. Scheduling flexibility is critical - you must be available to work early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Duty Manager will be responsible for operating and maintenance functions for SFOTEC, including but not limited to: GENERAL
Represent SFOTEC and the Managing Director's office as necessary
Respond to, mitigate, and report emergencies as necessary
Maintain quality control standards for performance, reliability, serviceability, and safety for the international terminal and ramp operations
Attend key airport stakeholder meetings on behalf of SFOTEC and/or the Managing Director, as required
Complete daily on-duty shift reports and provide weekly and monthly performance report dashboards and scorecards
TERMINAL OPERATIONS
Oversee and monitor all SFOTEC systems and equipment; ex. check-in counters, baggage handling, checkpoints, boarding bridges, etc.
Coordinate with airlines, airport, TSA, CBP, vendors, and contractors to ensure each airline receives optimal levels of service
Monitor passenger flows at check-in aisles, security checkpoints, FIS, and other key locations
Collaborate with Ramp Coordination to assist airlines, ground handlers, and vendors to ensure efficient aircraft turnaround processes
RAMP COORDINATION
Proactively oversee and monitor all SFOTEC-managed gates at the ramp levelAdminister policies, practices, and programs necessary to ensure a safe and efficient environment; administer Equipment Incident Report Program
Issue daily reports to the Operations Manager and the ONT-TEC Member Airlines
Oversee operational performance of ONT-TEC equipment, systems, and services
Coordinate resolution of issues with Terminal Operations when necessary
Qualifications
7+ years of excellent customer service and communication skills within an airport environment
Ability to produce concise daily status reports of all terminal activities
Skilled at identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
Maintenance experience of Terminal Facilities is a plus
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) and Quick Books
