We currently have a full time/direct hire opening for a VB.Net Programmer based in Miami Lakes, Florida

GENERAL SUMMARY:
- Full life-cycle development for re-architecting existing systems using Visual Studio.NET (VB.Net) while performing maintenance to existing Visual Basic 6.0 legacy systems.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
This role reports to the Chief Information Officer – CIO
- In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining existing VB 6.0 legacy Manufacturing in-house application.
- Maintain and enhance VB.NET Manufacturing application and integration with 3rd party ERP system.
- Ability to meet deadlines, self-motivated and can work independently.
- Ability to write and maintain simple to complex SQL Server Stored Procedures with transactional control.
- Understanding of object-oriented programming.
- Excellent communication skills and team player.
- Ability to communicate to non-technical professionals.
- Assist with developing test plans for verification and validation.
- Good troubleshooting and debugging skills.
- Familiar with Version Control packages.
- Keep management informed to the progress and issues encountered while performing development tasks.
- Performing other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
The successful candidate will have a technical background in
- Visual Basic 6.0 and VB.NET.
- SQL Server 2008 and above.
- Crystal Reports as a report development tool.
- Familiar with other development technologies including web development is a plus.
- Creating Windows Services, Reporting Services, Change Management tools is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
COMPENSATION: Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Workdays: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM 70% sitting, 15% standing, 15% walking
