    Employment Type: Temp to Hire
    Pay Rate: $27/hr
    Hybrid Option: Available after 6 months of total time worked (including time as a full-time employee)

    Job Summary
    We are looking for a detail-oriented Cost Control Representative to join our Houston team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the invoicing process, maintaining customer accounts, and supporting credit control projects. The ideal candidate is highly organized, communicative, and experienced in B2B or B2C collections.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Sort and promptly distribute invoices to customers
    • Maintain accurate records of invoicing and account-related documents
    • Manage and update customer accounts
    • Navigate customer portals to process invoicing and account updates
    • Assist with credit control projects to enhance department efficiency
    • Provide backup support across departmental roles as needed
    • Communicate with clients to manage and resolve outstanding balances
    • Handle collections professionally, maintaining strong customer relationships

    Required Experience

    • 5+ years of experience in collections and accounts receivable
    • Experience with business-to-business (B2B) or business-to-customer (B2C) collections

    Technical Skills

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
    • Experience using collection software ( CODA or Monitor is a plus )
    • Familiarity with customer portals for invoicing and account updates

    Communication & Professional Skills

    • Strong persuasion and negotiation abilities
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Professional approach to handling challenging conversations
    • Detail-oriented with effective problem-solving capabilities
    • Ability to work independently and manage a portfolio of accounts
    • Strong organizational and prioritization skills

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Willingness to grow within the credit control and collections department
    • Team player eager to support cross-functional efforts and process improvements
