About Bark Social:

Dogs. Beer. Coffee – Bark Social brings out the fun between dogs and humans with a private, monitored off-leash dog park and an indoor/outdoor beer garden & coffee bar. Featuring a play space, casual eating and curated dog merchandise, our goal is to engage, delight, and support the dog-loving communities we serve.

Bark Social has an aggressive growth plan. It launched its first location in Bethesda, Maryland in March of 2021, and will open its second location in Baltimore, Maryland in the next couple of weeks. Locations three, four and five are in the works.

Our need:

We are looking for Check-in and Retail Associates to ensure our guests and dogs feel welcome, special, safe, and comfortable at all times. This means engaging with our guests, getting to know them and their dogs and always, always being friendly and engaging with guests. We offer a nice variety of beer, wine, and spirits. This is an outdoor bar which requires bartenders to move around the park and provide guests beverages and start tabs.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Check members and guests into the park
  • Greet every guest, guiding them through the check-in process and assisting with registrations when they need help
  • Communicate our park rules
• Communicate promotions, events, and specials with guests so all guests understand the value of a Bark Social visit
  • Sell memberships and monthly and day passes to guests
• Help guests who visit our retail space
  • Talk to them about our unique products and services
  • Ring up their items
• Maintain retail area and inventory
  • Ensure products are displayed properly
  • Ensure all items are in stock
• Monitor our location email inbox
• Upkeep Gingr work:
  • Respond to emails, new leads, and notifications
  • Ensure all vaccination updates are entered correctly
  • Ensure and enforce the spay/neuter policy
• Keep the check-in and retail areas clean, organized, and free of clutter
  • Sweep front sidewalks and clear front yard of trash and poop as needed
• Keep the clubhouse clean and welcoming
  • Perform hourly temperature checks based on weather and adjust as needed; sweep floor if dirty and bus/wipe down tables with wood cleaner
