    JOB TITLE:

    • Board Certified Behavior Analyst

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Master's degree in Special Education or related field
    • Current and valid BCBA certification in good standing with the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)
    • Valid Texas Driver's license and safe driving record

    KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

    • Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis, function analysis and assessment, behavior acquisition and reduction procedures, and adaptive life skills
    • Ability to work with a variety of clients in regard to age, functionality with minimal direction
    • Possess strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Develop behavior plans and treatment plans for students as well as facilitate appropriate behavior strategies.
    • Conduct functional behavior assessments (FBAs) and skills assessments using evidence-based tools.
    • Maintain compliance with relevant ethical guidelines, laws, and regulations (e.g., BACB Code of Ethics).
    • Provide ongoing support to direct support professionals, ABA implementers and other individuals in support roles for families.
    • Assist in the development and implementation of assessment tools to conduct functional assessments and analysis when appropriate.
    • Create/maintain a data collection system to establish baseline and programmatic efficacy for students; analyze data to implement best practices.
    • Provide appropriate service to each student on the caseload.
    • Establish open, frequent communication with parents and all related service staff.
    • Make recommendations for the time needed to implement behavioral goals.
    • Attend ARD meetings.
    • Participate in appropriate staff meetings as requested.
    • Establish and maintain a positive working atmosphere with staff in order to encourage a positive learning environment for students.

    WORKING CONDITIONS:

    • Maintain emotional control under stress.

    • Daily attendance and punctuality at work are essential functions of the job.

    • Regular District-wide travel to multiple work locations as assigned; frequent standing, stooping, bending, reaching, pulling, pushing, heavy lifting, and moderate carrying.

    • Ability to adjust and adapt to a multitude of situations in the school environment
