    Job Description

    AECOM/Hunt has an exciting opportunity in Chicago, IL for a BIM Specialist OR a BIM Manager to support our new and ongoing iconic construction projects:

    BIM Specialist

    • Works under limited supervision.
    • Provides training and technical support to design staff on the Building Information Modeling system, which provides 3D models using project specifications and content.
    • Direct project support and production to assigned projects and create the drawings as required using the standards and content to meet the job requirements (objects within the drawing, doors, lights, etc.).

    BIM Manager

    • Provides guidance to employees within the latitude of established policies.
    • Recommends changes to policies and establishes procedures that affect immediate organization.
    • Works on issues of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including understanding of current business trends.
    • Acts as advisor to subordinates to meet schedules and/or resolve technical problems.
    • May have budget responsibilities.
    • Manages the coordination of activities of a group or department with responsibility for results.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Minimum Requirement:

    BIM Specialist:

    • BA/BS Engineering, Technology or similar curriculum and 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

    BIM Manager:

    • BA/BS Engineering, Technology or similar curriculum and 8 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

    Preferred Requirements:

    • Experience in Construction Management in BIM technology.
    • Experience/proficiency in Revit.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
    • Experience from a large GC or architectural design firm with a focus on:
      • airports
      • sports stadiums
      • higher education
      • healthcare/life sciences
    • 4-8 years of experience in the field of BIM or building information modeling systems.
    • Experience working with construction teams on large mega-construction projects.
