    Position Overview

    Cromwell Architects Engineers is seeking a BIM Technician to join our dynamic team. Candidates should have good communication skills, be well organized, and have the ability to work in a flexible environment. Candidates should have 5 or more years of production experience in Revit. Knowledge of creating and maintaining Autodesk Revit families, libraries, and models are required. Proficiency in Dynamo and Construction Documentation (and Design Development) for architecture and engineering is preferred. Qualified candidates must be able to fulfill essential job functions, as listed below.

    What to Expect

    The BIM Technician is responsible for assisting in the development, deployment, and support of innovative design technologies to enhance engineering and construction management processes. They will assist with the management of design software environments, custom tool development, and drive advancements in technology solutions across the organization. The BIM Technician will build custom tools and platforms and is a key contributor to research, innovation, and training in design technology.

    Job Functions & Responsibilities

    • Build and maintain a user-friendly development environment for design tools, specifically in Dynamo and PyRevit

    • Administer and optimize the design tool deployment platform, ensuring seamless integration into existing workflows and ease of use for end-users.

    • Assist with conceptualization, design, and user requirement analysis for custom add-ins and tools, ensuring alignment with business needs.

    • Assist with the development, delivery, and ongoing management of training programs related to design technology tools and processes (e.g., CAD, BIM, Revit, etc.).

    • Respond to support request tickets related to design technology issues in a timely and efficient manner.

    • Promote innovation in design and construction management by integrating cutting-edge tools, methodologies, and processes into existing workflows

    • Implement feedback mechanisms and data analysis to optimize tool performance and user satisfaction

    Minimum Requirements

    • Bachelors degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, computer science, or a related field
    • 5+ years of experience in design technology management, software implementation, and tool development within the AE industry
    • Proficiency in dynamo and PyRevit for developing custom tools and automation workflows
    • Expertise in design technology software. Particularly Revit, AutoCAD, and other similar CAD/BIM platforms
