Job Title: (BMC Control-M/EM) – Remote, 2nd Shift Hours: 3 PM to 11 PM (Mon-Fri, Remote)
Job Overview: The role involves managing, monitoring, and scheduling batch jobs using BMC Control-M/Enterprise Manager in a production control environment for mainframe and distributed systems. Responsibilities include identifying and resolving job abends, maintaining Control-M calendars, and documenting issues in ServiceNow. Weekend and holiday rotations are required occasionally.
Key Responsibilities:
Schedule and manage jobs via BMC Control-M/EM.
Analyze and resolve batch workload issues, including job abends, using JCL and TSO/ISPF.
Monitor alerts, escalate issues, and communicate with support staff to maintain SLA compliance.
Document incidents and tasks in ServiceNow.
Use tools like Nagios, IP Monitor, and Tivoli to recognize server problems.
Mandatory Skills/Experience:
2-5 years of experience with BMC Control-M/EM for job scheduling and management.
Proficient in JCL, TSO/ISPF, and SDSF for mainframe systems.
Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
Familiarity with mainframe and distributed systems batch processing.
Preferred Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Knowledge of ServiceNow, Nagios, and Tivoli.
Experience in managing AJF workload and identifying server issues.
Certifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (preferred).
This is a remote position with second-shift hours and occasional weekend/holiday coverage.
