Full time Insurance Coordinator for busy multi doctor and location practice. We are looking for that special person who combines excellent communication skills with great customer service. The Specialist (Patient Payments Support and Service) will support our dental offices and our patients by fielding incoming phone calls and making sure that patients have a clear understanding of bill/balance. The incumbent will demonstrate a courteous and professional demeanor when dealing with patients and office staff while remaining confident and assertive. Also work with insurance companies to follow up on claims outstanding.
Responsibilities
Verify eligibility and benefits
Send insurance claims & pre-authorizations manually & electronically with necessary attachments and information
Enter insurance payments
Follow up with insurance companies on claims outstanding and resolve to obtain payment
Help assume responsibility to decrease accounts receivable
Present treatment to patients
Make financial arrangements for treatment
Answer telephones and schedule appointments
Close out & balance at end of night
Ensure excellent customer service for our patients
Be accountable for doing whatever it takes to support team success
Qualifications

Strong Insurance benefit knowledge
Good computer skills-Dentrix a plus
Excellent telephone skills
Must be a people person
Must be punctual and dependable
Ability to prioritize, handle multiple tasks efficiently, and adapt and react quickly to changes and deadlines
Must be comfortable in discussing financial arrangements with patients
Must have excellent customer service skills
Strong attention to DETAIL
REQUIRED:
Equivalent to high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
3 years of related work experience required
Experience in a dental setting and related insurance
