    Server Assistant

    The Back Waiter at Fielding’s River Oaks is responsible for supporting the Captain with tasks such as manicuring and pre-bussing, setting up and breaking down the dining room, polishing plate ware, glassware, and silverware and serving non-alcoholic beverages, burnishing the floor, helping the Captain create a positive guest experience leading to repeat guest visits.

    Essential Duties:

    Ø Support the Captain in serving the guest

    Ø Create a positive experience for the guest

    Ø Set up and break down the dining room

    Ø Nonalcoholic beverage service and maintenance

    Ø Must know the Pivot Point system

    Ø Stocking side stations

    Ø Have reasonable menu knowledge

    Ø Understand and follow the stated steps of the service

    Ø Be able to carry food and beverages on a tray

    Ø Clear tables with proper plate handling

    Ø Communicate with guests in a positive clear manner

    Ø Polish glass and silverware

    Ø Burnish the dining room floor at the beginning of each shift

    Ø Must present clean and professionally in the stated uniform

    Ø Have high integrity

    Competencies & Qualifications:

    Ø Must be able to stand for eight hours a time

    Ø Be able to be on time in a specified uniform

    Ø Bi-lingual a plus

    Ø Demonstrate interest and share knowledge of food

    Ø Able to lift and carry 50 pounds

    Ø Able to follow directions

    Ø Consistently search ways to improve and promote a high level of guest service

    Ø Accept constructive criticism

    Ø Treat guests and Partners with respect

    Ø Provide a risk free and safe working environment and experience

    Ø Apply accurate logic and common sense in decisions making or solving problems

    Ø Seek expertise help and resources to achieve goals and objectives

    Ø Stay focused and detailed oriented while on duty and work through distractions

    Ø Able to identify, prioritize activities and modify work routines to eliminate wasted efforts

    Ø Follow guidelines and rules of Fielding’s culinary group

    Ø Speak clearly and logically to be understood and get the point across when communicating
