Position: Head Baker / Production Manager
Location: Chicago, IL area
Your previous roles may have been Executive Pastry Chef, Lead Baker, Bakery Production Manager, or Bakery Commissary Assistant.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in Culinary Arts with AIB certificate.
- Subject Matter Expert regarding the Art & Science of crafting sourdough, artisan loaves, and European pastries from scratch.
- Must be Detail oriented and have experience with both artisan breads and pastries. Proven track record managing large-scale production (thousands of loaves, rolls, buns, and pastries daily).
- Leadership ability to inspire and manage a team, plan production, and ensure high-quality and consistency with fresh baked products
- Recipe development experience with ability to effectively scale Artisan baking for high-volume production without quality and taste.
- Strong understanding of costing, scheduling, ingredient sourcing, and maintaining a pristine and efficient bakery environment.
