Job Description

We are seeking a Customer Service Specialist to join our team! You will be responsible for helping customers by providing product,  shipping, and service information and resolving technical and ordering issues as well as answering questions about our products, restocks, and any other questions relating to the customers transaction.  RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Handle customer inquiries
• Provide information about the products and services
• Troubleshoot and resolve order/shipping issues and concerns
• Document and update customer records based on interactions
• Develop and maintain a knowledge base of the evolving products and services
• Learn to use "BOT" and respond with a positive response acting as the voice of Baltic Born

​QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous experience in customer service, sales, or other related fields
• Ability to build rapport with clients
• Ability to prioritize and multitask
• Positive and professional demeanor
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Learn to work with Shopify, Gorgias, Excel, and Returnly
• Be able to track shipments, organize, etc. 
• Hours are Monday-Friday 8:00-3:00

Baltic Born was started by 3 sisters; Allison, Angela and Marianne. They had always had a passion for social media and fashion so in 2016 they decided it was the perfect time to start a business together. They began in a spare bedroom in Allison’s house. Baltic Born’s original concept was Euro-inspired fashion. They offered black, neutrals and timeless pieces. At the time, Marianne was fresh out of hair school, Angela was finishing school and working retail, and Allison was moving around with her crazy husband and 2 kids doing door-to-door sales in a different state every summer. Within the year, Allison and Angela both found out they were pregnant! This happened simultaneously as Baltic Born was growing from a basement start-up with 3 sisters, to a garage, to a bigger basement, to their first warehouse which was just under 1800 square feet. Fast forward to 2021, Baltic Born is filling up over 4 warehouses (covering over 16,000 square feet), employing over 60 employees and generating anywhere from $4-$5 million of revenue monthly. They also just purchased their first commercial building at the price tag of $4 million! They quickly learned that their customer was just like them! Young mothers who still wanted to look and feel beautiful, even with an ever changing body. Newly engaged women who were looking for the perfect engagement photo dress, bridesmaid dresses, and getaway dress for their big day. Middle aged women who were celebrating huge events in their life and wanted to feel their best and make a statement without going overboard. Pregnant mamas who didn’t want to spend a fortune on maternity wear, and could wear their pieces before, during and after maternity. They saw there was a need for women to find clothing that they felt beautiful and confident in for every season of life. Baltic Born was ready to evolve into this new niche and they were excited to pivot their vision for Baltic Born. They began designing dresses specifically for these women - their customers! During 2020, they exploded in the online shopping world. Even during a global pandemic, their sales stayed strong. Now, more than ever, it was important for their customers to have affordable and high quality designs. They focused all of their energy in coming out with new and exclusive designs and the Baltic Born label continued to grow! They design their pieces to fit all shapes and sizes, and create timeless styles for literally every season of life. What they have done is simply incredible. They love so many different aspects of the company they have created but according to co-founder Allison, “the biggest thrill and gratification of creating our company is to see how many women are able to feel beautiful and comfortable in our dresses, no matter what stage of life they are in”.
