JEL Manufacturing LLC is a heavy metal fabrication company in the Milwaukee/Bayview area. We are searching for a skilled tradesperson to work in our metal cutting shop. Our cut shop has structural steel operations as well as Sheetmetal operations. We expect everyone in our cut shop to be cross trained to be able to adequately operate all equipment and perform all operations competently within the department.

Qualified candidates must be detail and accuracy oriented. Required skills include:

· Careful listener and good note taker.

· Organized and safety oriented.

· Able to maintain proper documentation using PC, tablet and/or other device(s).

· Ability to read and understand material lengths identified in a bill of materials.

· Ability to replicate BOM lengths on materials with 1/16” accuracy of better (use a tape measure).

· Ability to multi-task.

· Ability to lift to 50 lbs.

· Ability to learn new skills and perform them at a high level.

· Must work well with others.

Desired but not required. Training may be provided.

· Ability to add and subtract basic fractions.

· Ability to read and understand metal fabrication manufacturing prints.

· Ability to identify the material in a bill of materials and locate that material in our inventory.

· Ability to move the proper material from inventory to the required production area.

Experience using the equipment below is required:

· Tape measure – within 1/16 accuracy

· Basic hand and power tools (drill, screwdriver, wrenches, etc.)

Experience using the equipment below is desired, but not required: Training may be provided.

· Metal Bandsaw

· Ironworker

· Mag Drill

· Overhead Crane

· Plasma Table

· Forklift

Applicants must be willing and able to operate any of the equipment listed and complete any of the necessary secondary operations that are required from our cut shop. Employees are also required to keep their respective areas and equipment neat and tidy as well as ensure their machines are operating properly or receiving any required maintenance or repairs.
