    Job Overview:
    Buckeye State Bank is seeking a Training & Efficiency Officer who will assume a dual role in enhancing employee performance through targeted training while driving operational efficiency across the bank. This position involves designing and delivering training programs to equip staff with the knowledge and skills necessary for their roles, as well as analyzing and improving bank processes to identify inefficiencies and implement strategies that streamline operations, reduce costs, and enhance productivity.

    This role is based on-site at our Powell Headquarters, with occasional travel to our other Ohio offices.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Training

    • ****Design & Develop Training Programs:

      • ****Create and update training materials, manuals, and guides encompassing various bank operations, products, services, and compliance requirements.
      • Develop programs on key topics such as customer service, regulatory compliance, technology use, and operational procedures.
    • Conduct Training Sessions:

      • Lead onboarding training for new employees and ongoing training for existing staff regarding new systems, products, or policies.
      • Offer training in multiple formats, including in-person, virtual sessions, webinars, and e-learning platforms.
      • Provide hands-on training to ensure employees can effectively apply new knowledge in practical situations.
    • Assess Training Effectiveness:

      • Monitor trainee progress and deliver feedback to ensure skill development.
      • Evaluate training success through assessments, performance reviews, and employee feedback, making adjustments to training content as necessary.

    Efficiency Officer

    • Analyze Operational Processes:
      • Review current bank procedures and workflows to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.
      • Conduct regular audits of internal processes and collaborate with departments to gather data on performance metrics.
    • Develop & Implement Efficiency Strategies:
      • Propose and implement strategies aimed at improving operational efficiency, enhancing customer service, and reducing costs.
      • Work closely with senior management to set measurable performance goals and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
    • Automation & Technology Integration:
      • Identify opportunities for automation within banking processes, including transaction processing and compliance checks.
      • Lead the implementation of new banking technologies that can streamline operations and increase overall productivity.
    • Monitor & Report on Efficiency Metrics:
      • Track and report improvements in efficiency, productivity, and cost reductions, presenting findings to management.
      • Develop and maintain reports that demonstrate the impact of efficiency initiatives on the bank's performance.

    Continuous Improvement

    • Facilitate Change Management: ****
      • ****Assist in managing the adoption of new technologies or processes, ensuring employees receive adequate training and support throughout the transition.
      • Provide ongoing support and guidance to staff to ensure consistent application of new procedures.
    • Promote a Culture of Efficiency: * Encourage staff to adopt best practices and seek continuous improvement in performance and efficiency. * Foster a culture of innovation where employees feel empowered to suggest improvements.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, operations management, or a related field.
    • Proven experience in banking, training, or operational efficiency roles.
    • Strong understanding of banking products, services, policies, and compliance requirements.
    • Expertise in process analysis, workflow optimization, and utilizing technology for operational enhancements.
    • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and training tools.
    • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
    • Certification in process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) is a plus.
    • Experience in project management or change management is advantageous.

    Skills & Abilities

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to design, develop, and deliver effective training programs.
    • Proficient in process mapping, process optimization, and identifying areas for improvement.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and banking software.
    • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
    • Strong time-management and organizational skills.

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
