We're looking for a bankruptcy attorney with Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 experience. If you are an attorney that loves helping clients achieve financial freedom through bankruptcy, or if you are a bankruptcy paralegal who has recently passed the bar, please get in touch. This is an in-house position (NOT remote). Candidates must live in Connecticut, within 30 minutes of Hartford, and be barred in Connecticut to be considered for this position. The ideal candidate will work with the rest of the team to serve clients efficiently and effectively. Litigation experience is a plus. If you can research and write compelling legal arguments and are familiar with current technology, we would love to connect! Responsibilities: • Analyze client needs, identify solutions, and determine case strategies • Prepare various legal documents, such as motions, pleadings, briefs, and correspondence • Advise clients by weighing available options toward a successful outcome and plan a course of action • Manage administrative assistants, paralegals, and law clerks • Represent clients in court to argue motions during legal proceedings Qualifications: • Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs is needed • Public speaking, decision-making, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills are necessary for this role • Strong knowledge of legal research programs such as Westlaw and Lexis products is required • Required Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school; representation of clients for at least 2 years a plus Compensation: $85,000 - $105,000 yearly (DOE) + bonuses
