Our goal is to be the BEST team of bankruptcy professionals in Central Texas, and every member of our team plays an essential role in easing our client's transition out of one of the most stressful phases of their life. We're growing fast and we need an experienced bankruptcy attorney who is excited by this opportunity and ready to hit the ground running. You must be able to effectively manage a Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 docket and a team of assistants and paralegals. You must be prepared to appear (virtual and in-person) in the bankruptcy courts in Austin, San Antonio, and Waco. This is a REMOTE position except for court appearances throughout Central Texas Responsibilities: • Oversee paralegals, law clerks, and administrative staff • Analyze client needs, identify solutions, and determine case strategies • Advise clients by weighing available options toward a successful outcome and plan a course of action • Conduct research and draft pleadings, briefs, and motions • Represent clients in court to argue motions during legal proceedings • Attend 341 meetings with clients • Represent clients at confirmation hearings Qualifications: • Work independently while handling a heavy caseload • Decision-making, public speaking, problem-solving, interpersonal skills, and communication skills are a must • Must be kind, a team player, and genuinely enjoy helping people • Licensed to practice law in Texas • Admitted to practice in the US Bankruptcy Court in the Western District of Texas Compensation: $105,000 - may be more or less depending on experience
