    As Banquet Chef, you will lead the culinary team in preparing and executing high-quality banquet-style meals for events at Tannahill Tavern & Music Hall. You’ll have the opportunity to work with a wide range of menu styles and presentations formats, from plated dinners to elaborate buffets, serving up to 800 guest per event. This is a hands-on role that requires excellent leadership, time management, and organizational skills.

    Key Responsibilities: • Oversee and manage all aspects of the banquet food preparation, including menu planning, food quality, presentation, and staff management. • Lead the kitchen team in executing large-scale events, ensuring timely, efficient, and high-quality service for up to 1,000 guests. • Coordinate with event managers and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth and seamless service. • Ensure that food is prepare and presented to the highest standards of quality, consistency, and safety. • Manage inventory and ensure proper storage and handling of all ingredients and supplies. • Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and banquet areas, adhering to health and safety regulations. • Lead, mentor, and train junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive and efficient working environment. • Troubleshoot any issues that arise during events, providing quick and effective solutions.

    Qualifications: • At least 3-5 years of experience as a Banquet Chef, Sous Chef, or similar culinary leadership role. • Experience preparing meals for large events, serving up to 1,000 guests in both plated and buffet-style formats. • Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety standards, and inventory management. • Exceptional organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills. • Ability to lead and motivate a team in a high-pressure environment. • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with other departments. • Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred but not required. • Passion for food and hospitality, with a focus on providing outstanding guest experiences.
