What you will be doing:
Food preparation and cooking, plating, presentation. Working as part of a team.
Qualifications
Creative and passionate about food and customer service
Able to work in a high-pressure environment
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills so that encounters with guests and co-workers are friendly and delivered in a service oriented manner.
Must have knowledge of all types of cooking and techniques and be able to identify and use herbs and spices.
Must be able to roast meats and poultry to proper temperatures, Portion and bake fish. Prepare food in bulk for banquet operations. Prepare, store, heat and serve hors d'oeuvres.
Ability to braise, pan-fry, saute, poach, boil, par-cook, broiling, deep fry, roast. Cook rice and pastas. Understand formal requisition process.
Must have ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and up to 20 pounds consistently to lift, carry, push, pull and otherwise move objects.
