    We need a banquet cook who knows their way around a kitchen with minimal supervision. You’ll be responsible for preparing meals for banquets in support of the chef. Responsibilities: • Prepare recipes using the proper measurements needed for condiments and wash dice, and slice fruits and vegetables, and meats, for the variety of meals we prepare for customers • Observe all company-required food safety guidelines and protocols in the areas where food is prepared and kitchen equipment is utilized • Understand recipe instructions, measurements, meal charts, and labels written in English and use all measuring tools properly • Perform other basic cooking duties as necessary, such as brewing coffee or tea, preparing soups, reducing sauces, and assisting other cooks in the kitchen if needed • Maintain a clean, organized prep area and workstation at all times, and sanitize equipment after each shift or when we close Qualifications: • Read and comprehend recipes, labels, and meal charts written in English • Must be comfortable handling sharp knives and other kitchen tools when prepping food • We’d prefer it if you have an associate's degree (AA), or equivalent, but it’s not required for the job • Flexibility to work weekend hours and holidays if necessary, as well as some extended hours • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, as well as bend, pull heavy items, and stand on your feet for your entire shift Compensation: $18 - $20 hourly
